Topic: MyBB - What's your thoughts ?

Okay, so I thought I could be abit more active on the forum aswell as beeing helpful (Haha)..
Anyway, back to topic;

Have you heard of MyBB ? It's a free forum script. In my opinion, it's the ultimate forum script. Yeah, it's better than IPB, vBulletin and all those.. And I've used them all for like a month time, but I've used MyBB for 2-3 years now.. It's worth it.

"Why," you may ask ? Well, it's simply because of the structure and everything with it. It's super-easy to configure, it's got plenty of mods and themes, and the best of all - Everyone can use it!
No cost, and there's no hidden stuff either..

Oh, forgot to tell - It's got amazing security aswell big_smile


So yeah, In my opinion, it's the best. Rodolfo, you should use MyBB for chevereto when 2.1 has been released. Trust me, it's worth it.

Any thoughts about MyBB ?

I preffer IPB because of it's killer SEO performance but if you ask for something else, a script that looks nice is XenForo.
I though on MyBB but I drop it, it doesn't look professional to me.

Honestly the only thing that cares to me in a forum script is the SEO and the spam control. I don't mind of the "whole range of comunnity solutions" of IPB or vB.

Since all the dudes that I keep respect of their seo have recommend me IPB I will stick to it.

I use vbulletin for years with vbseo, so far soo good.

as for myBB, no idea, if its free software, i dont like it, i like to pay for somebodys work  lol   lol   tongue  lol  tongue

phpbb is also nice, been a few years since i used it last, but i hope they haven't gotten worse smile
mybb:  i tried that once as well and have to agree with rodolfo, it looks like its a half done project, its missing a lot of user friendly things.

I was using MyBB for a forum but it got spammed like crazy so I switched to Vanilla. For a paid forum go for IPB. I use that on my main forum

I have submit a few questions to the xenforo people and I notice that it doesn't have what I need. It looks nice and so, but the script and the support seems to be bad.

MyBB is the best free forum software, simply because of all the features, extensions, themes and their great support.

Rodolfo is right, as far as forum software goes.. IPB is the best one out there.

Paid:
IPB
vBulletion (+vBSEO is awesome as well, but they have a lousy template make up)
XenFore (relatively new and light weight)

Free:
PHPBB
Simple Machine Forums
Vanilla (Really simple and basic, for people who don't need to many functions)

Other than this, you might just as well forget about other forum software tongue.
