@oudensbauss
You need to work harder on your bandwidth usage system. I tested your members area and i found out you are running a query in the image viewer to increase the uploader's account bandwidth usage.. Not a good idea at all.
I tested a 500 socket http request for a couple of minutes to the image viewer link of an image I uploded and your site crashed (maybe didn't crash but probably your CPU went to 100% because after this your site wouldn't load for the next 10 - 15 minutes).
I hope this helps you improve your site security.

This website just sold for $34,000 USD. I wasn't aware that the Chevereto license was transferable ![]()

34K? So chevereto.com should worth how much? 100k? ![]()
Haha I was about to ask that same question Piers... whoever purchased it needs a giant kick up the ass lol all he did was buy 4000 members and an awful Apple rip-off design ![]()
Apparently the site was making $4k a month....
Plus 120k unique requests per month...
Here is the link to the sale https://flippa.com/2706956-well-establi … -per-month

Which site was the design taken from?
Apple lol
Ah +1
Back to topic, the site make more than 20K in less than a year (and it seems to do a lot more the second year) I think that sold it on 34K wasn't a right move. I mean, c'mon you can easily earn +35K the second year.
Either they need cash asap or the numbers are fixed. Anyway, is good to know that something that uses a part of Chevereto as their rock solid base gets sold for that amount of money. ![]()

+1 - I think it's great they managed to sell it for that amount. I may not like the design but each to their own.
The earnings are most likely BS. In the screen shots your see payments of $200 when the maximum amount is $99 for a lifetime account. Anyways I am skeptical that anyone would pay an amateur image host that much money for a premium account.

Not defending the sale but I think the $200 was a payment for advertising, not a premium account.

Piers is right... those earnings were for advertising and like the seller said - only one person has a $99 lifetime membership.
People that use these sites aren't concerned about the script or the people running the site... they like what they like. If ImageShack decided to use a modified version of Chevereto you think all their uses would stop using them?
Anyone can be successful with Chevereto if you work hard at it ![]()
