Hola todo el mundo. Quiero dar a conocer una noticia bastante importante para el proyecto ya que desde hace un buen tiempo vengo pensando cambios importantes para Chevereto, hablo de cambios que implican alterar las raices u objetivos del proyecto original.

Si bien es cierto estoy feliz con el recibimiento que ha tenido el script, me parece que no se ha alcanzado ni en un 10% todo lo que el proyecto podría dar y eso es bastante triste. Lamentablemente el apoyo a base de buena onda y un inmenso numero de descargas no implica ciertamente un mayor desarrollo. Actualmente el script esta en un punto muerto donde básicamente hace lo mismo que hacia en sus primeras versiones pero con leves mejoras de compatibilidad. Me gustaría que el script realizara todo lo que me han sugerido pero no puedo compatibilizar el tiempo que me implica desarrollar para Chevereto junto con solventar esto. Nadie puede darse esos lujos cuando ademas se recibe tan poca ayuda no tan sólo en donaciones sino que también en mano de obra.

Las alternativas disponibles consisten en dejar que el script se pudra con el paso de los años o que se le inyecten nuevos aires ya que a nadie parece importarle realizar proyectos código abierto gratuitos sin recibir algo a cambio, al menos proyectos tan raros como este. Yo mismo perdí gran parte del interés en desarrollar al ver como pirateaban un script gratuito y que la mayoría del mundo viese el foro como un soporte donde plasmar dudas y no como un centro de colaboración y desarrollo. Quizás uno de los mayores errores fue desarrollar Chevereto sin ayuda y esperar que el mundo colaborara. He tratado de convencer amigos y conocidos sin mayor éxito (con el modelo actual) por que a la larga los proyectos libres y abiertos requieren demasiado tiempo para lograr consensos y resultados.

Luego de todas estas explicaciones, estos son los cambios del proyecto:

1. Chevereto pasara a ser un proyecto comercial (release principal).

2. Chevereto seguirá teniendo su versión gratuita (NB) y se continuara su desarrollo en paralelo.

3. Todo el código liberado hasta ahora seguirá rigiéndose por su licencia original.

4. No existirá re-licenciamiento de nada lanzando hasta el momento y NB mantendra su licencia actual.

5. El script, el foro y el proyecto en general pasaran a ser lenguaje base ingles (actualmente es español).

Sobre fechas de lanzamiento, precios y demás preguntas obvias no les puedo decir nada. Estoy trabajando para tener pronto uno que otro teaser, pero no podemos dar cifras en este momento.

Finalmente, quiero dejar en claro que la primera release comercial (Chevereto 2.0) consistirá en un script hecho completamente desde cero y no contara con nada del código de la versión libre y gratuita (conocida actualmente como NB). Obviamente que mantendrá el mismo feel por que la interfaz sera hecha por mi, pero hablamos de empezar desde cero en la version comercial.

Hi everybody. I would like to make a very important announcement regarding the project since I'm been thinking for a long time about important changes to come, I'm talking about changes that change the root objectives of the original project.

While I'm happy with the reception, it seems to me that the script has not reached 10% or whatever the project could do and that's pretty sad. Unfortunately, the support by good vibes and a huge number of downloads certainly don't means further development. Currently the script is dead, basically because it does the same thing that it doeas in its early versions, but with slight improvements in compatibility. I would like that the script do all that you have suggested but I can not reconcile the time/money issue. Nobody can afford time when you also don't get help or donations.

There is two ways around the corner: (1) Let the things like know and forget about the script, or (2) Get a second breath. This is because it seems that no ones cares to make free open source proyects without get anything in exange, at least in weird proyects like this one. I myself lost much interest in developing the script when I see how the people pirated something like this and  that most of the world sees the forum like as a support forum and not a place to colaboration an development. Perhaps one of my biggest mistakes was develop Chevereto without any help and expect that the world helps me. I tried to convince friends and acquaintances without much success (with the current model) this is because free and open projects require too much time to achieve consensus and results.

After all this explanations, this are the changes:

1. Chevereto will be a commercial proyect (main release).

2. Chevereto will continue having a free version (NB) and continue their development in parallel.

3. All code released so far will be governed by its original license.

4. There will be no re-licensing of anything launched so far and NB will keep it's current license.

5. The script, the forum and the overall project were to become English language base (currently Spanish).

About release dates, prices and other obvious questions I can not tell you anything. I'm working to soon have some teaser, but we can't give any numbers at this time.

Finally, I want to make it clear that the first commercial release (Chevereto 2.0) will consist of a script entirely made from scratch and it will not have anything from the free version (known as NB). Obviously it will keep the same feel because the interface will be done by me, but we are talking about a fresh start in the commercial version.
