Problem with install

So I have installed Chevereto to my wamp server and when my page loads it shows no images or styles (attempted to install multiple times).  I then tried uploading to an actual server which just resulted in an internal server error!  I have transferred my server to windows from linux and am waiting for that to process until i try again. 

What is causing the problems?  Thanks.
