So to help simmer things down I was wondering if there is a way to limit hotlinking but only to thumbnails or a certain bandwidth limit?

Maybe allow so many hits per day ect...

Something to limit those huge forum hotlinks that will blow servers up.

1. I need a script php that count the number of images in a folder. I found this http://chevereto.com/forums/topic358-ad … mages.html but didn't help. On my main folder i have other sub-folders, so the script count 0 files.

2. I need a script that delete inactive images, i found this http://chevereto.com/forums/topic743-re … image.html but i think that this script will delete OLD images, not inactive. I need a script that delete for example a file (image) after three months that it will not be request by nobody.

saludos! estoy interezado en comprar chevereto pero deseo utlizarlo con fines completamente lucrativos, en pocas palabras para negocio directo.

Que deseo hacer?

lo que deseo hacer es:

1. que lo usuarios puedan crear cuentas en la pagina.
2. que cada usuario pueda subir sus respectivas imagenes y queden en su cuenta.
3. poder integrar codigos de publicidad en la pagina donde se
visualiza la imagen subida.
4. que cada usuario tenga su propio contador de visitas en la imagenes
subidas, pero un contador que facilmente pueda ser reseteado cuando un
usuario reciba su pago por la visitas en sus imagenes.
5. que no se pueda copiarel "hot link" de la imagen subida no importa
de que cuenta haya sido.
6. que las imagenes subidas esten disponibles en la cuenta del usuario simepre.
7. que las cuentas tengan lo necesario para que los links para
visualizar las imagenes se puedan copiar facilmente, o lo mas facil
posible.
8. entre otras cosas extra me imagino...

NOTA:
Por obvias razones para ver las cuentas de usuario y procesar pagos, o resetear contadores de visitas y otras cosas, creo ke yo deveria tener un panel de administracion para ver todas esas cosas.

Lo que se desea hacer es como las demas paginas que pagan X cantidad de dinero por cada 1000 visitas, es eso lo que yo deseo hacer y creo ke chevereto proporciona una interfaz facil de utilizar, y muy buena
comodidad.

Ejemplo de pagina que paga por cada 1000 visitas a las imagenes:
//imageporter...//
//imagetwist...//

En mi caso pretendo modificar CHEVERETO pero pues yo soy programador pero se me hace bastante dificil hacer lo que planteo. por ende, quisiera saber si algun DESARROLLADOR puede ayudarme en dicho proyecto que deseo llevar a cabo.

Examples:

"browse the images you would like to upload from your computer" -> "browse for images you would like to upload from your computer"

"automatically upload your image in another size" -> "upload your image in a different resolution"

"Socialize this image" -> "Share this image" (this makes more sense to me)

"Show directly this image" -> "Direct image links"

I would like to suggest two features for a future Chevereto version. These features are also popular with most file sharing scripts and financially very attractive for us webmasters. It gives us, the webmasters, a way to earn money with and/or without advertisement.

Basically:

Premium (Paid) Accounts:
Users can buy premium accounts for the duration of a month, 3 months, 6 months or a year (for example). They can pay with paypal or another gateway and in return they will get extra storage space and/or bandwidth and perhaps extra functions  users with normal (free) accounts don't get (such as, ads free browsing, priority access and etc..). We could also provide these paid accounts as 'business accounts' or something like that.

Advantage: An extra way of income for us webmasters, aside from advertising.

Earn money:
Users can register and earn money for sharing their pictures. The more pageviews/downloads they get, the more money they receive. If, let us say, a picture gets viewed/downloaded a 1000 times they can get 5 USD (for example). It would also be nice if you could set specific prices per country/area of the visitors.
This would mean that more people would make use of our image upload sites because they would want to earn more money.

Advantage: People want to earn more money -> more people will come to our image upload sites = easy advertisement + more users + more people who view our ads and/or buy premium accounts
Disadvantage: The system of counting views would have to be foolproof (per unique visitor, refreshing the page doesn't count and etc..) It might be hard, but many other scripts have this function as well, so it should be possible.

I'd love to hear what all of you guys (and Rodolfo) think of these two suggestions  !

Storing files this way makes perfect sense, it is easy to manage albums and reduces the loading time when using FTP/SFTP/SCP to access the site (Admins).

Stepashka and Danny.Domb have got some good code there and if Rodolfo could take a look and let us know what he thinks?
